Can you be addicted after enjoying something only once?
Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution Xbox 360
I played a new video game Andy bought for the Xbox 360 Live, Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution. This was the most fun I’ve had in a long time. (Between that game and the tennis Top Spin game, I’m having fun being a gamer–something I’ve never been.) (I don’t own the Top Spin 3 game. Is there a wonderful person out there who doesn’t want theirs? You can send it to me.) Anyway, this Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution game is about building an empire (you build cities, armies, wonders, great people, all kinds of stuff). You have to choose between sustaining yourself (apples) and building technology (hammers). I’m dumbing it down.
This game is very interesting. I never played the board game where everyone was a country trying to take over the world. What was that called? Domination or something? I don’t recall. Anywho, I figure this game is much like that, a game of strategy. (Wait! Is that the name? Was there a board game Strategy?)
I can say this, I’m going to try to only play once or twice per week. But I don’t know if I can.
